Tapeworm Diet

from Ghostwritten By by Pinned in Place

lyrics

Our life ain't that much. I try to magnify every speck of dust to find value in what's shed from us. Maybe I'm bitter like you. A tapeworm who feeds on the things they do to keep you down. Maybe I shouldn't be around. I don't hope for the best. I refuse to waste my breath, asking you to be someone worth more than what they expect. Hopefully it's not true. The way the things they say always seem to resemble a part of you. A view I can't recognize. I follow the strings down the hall shouting, "I don't owe you anything at all." Who says you have to be the same person everyday?
